Peter Janci joined O’Donnell Clark & Crew as an associate attorney in 2007. He will primarily work with new partner Steve Crew in O’Donnell Clark & Crew’s Business and Commercial Litigation practice area, although he will also assist partner Kelly Clark on public law cases.
Prior to joining OC&C, Peter worked as a law clerk for attorney Herb Grey in Beaverton, Oregon, where he worked primarily on First Amendment civil rights cases, including several Ninth Circuit appeals.
Peter graduated cum laude from Northwestern College of Law at Lewis and Clark College in May of 2007. While there, he served as the President of the Christian Legal Society and spearheaded the Interfaith Baccalaureate Service in 2006 and 2007. He also volunteered with the Voter’s Rights Project at Seattle University School of Law.
Prior to attending Lewis and Clark, Peter graduated magna cum laude from Wheaton College in Wheaton, Illinois with a Bachelors of Arts in Political Science and International Relations. While at Wheaton, Peter was awarded the Alumni Association’s Senior Scholarship Award and was the President of his Class. Before attending Wheaton College, Peter graduated from Woodinville High School in Washington.
Peter recently co-authored a law review article with partners Kelly Clark and Kristian Roggendorf, entitled “Of Compelling Interest: The Intersection of Religious Freedom and Civil Liability in the Priest Sex Abuse Cases,” 85 Oregon Law Review 481 (2006).He is a Blackstone Fellow with the Alliance Defense Fund and recently attended the Oregon Republican Leadership Institute.
Born and raised in Bothell, Washington, Peter moved to Oregon two and a half years ago. He now lives in Tualatin with his bride, Vanessa, whom he married in July of 2006. Vanessa is pursuing a Doctorate of Clinical Psychology at George Fox University, in Newberg, Oregon. In his free time, Peter enjoys movies, traveling, working out, and delving into local and national politics.
