I was absolutely stunned to read the Oregonian’s article about Horenstein’s desire to teach again, and related comments that she should be given a second chance. I don’t care if she became Mother Teresa. Her offense ran so deep and so damaging that I was appalled and offended by all the publicity and support she got. Horenstein’s passion may be with teaching children, but she violated a most sacred trust.
